Our History
Eastern Bulk Carriers was founded by Otto Gregard Tidemand in 1994.
The Tidemand family has extensive traditions through four generations in the shipping business of Ship Owning, Ship Operating and Ship broking. The company is part of the Tidships shipping group controlled by the Tidemand family.

Trade and Commodities
We are a global shipping company operating in all the trade lanes of the dry bulk market worldwide. We carry grains, coal, iron ore, bauxite, concentrates, fertilizers, cement clinker, salt, and other minor bulk cargoes.
Our fleet consist of conventional dry bulk vessels ranging primarily from 40,000dwt to 65,000dwt and are equipped with cranes and grabs.
We also have vessels with semi-open box design particularly suited for steels, pipes, lumber and other break bulk and bagged cargoes.
Commercial Management
Eastern Bulk Carriers has a long history of commercially operating vessels on behalf of third parties.
We offer tailor-made solutions to cover all aspects of the commercial, operational and technical management in order to provide the best possible product for our business partners.
Risk Management
Risk management is central to our daily business. Successfully operating long term in this highly volatile market demands dedicated risk management and control.
Our risk management policy includes hedging of freight and bunker volatility as well as balancing the fleet between index linked and fixed hire structures.
